UPDATED 10/05: if you want your child to live in a complex that tells them to just remove the smoke alarms because they don’t want to fix them, and then leave them without any fire alarms for over a month, never fixes the lighted exit signs in the hallways, leaves stairwell doors broken and inaccessible, trapping people inside the halls in the case of a fire, and leaves unit doors with broken handles for a week straight with the property manager being fully aware, then this is a great place to live. if you want your child to live in squalor, where there is a fire alarm beeping on the first floor for 6 months straight, where garbage overflow causes the constant aroma of dumpster juice and fruit fly/cockroach infestations unit wide, this is a great place to live. if you are ok with unfinished ceilings that leave a 2 inch gap between the walls and the ceiling, this place is for you. if you like the look of a 10 ft wide hole in the ceiling on the 5th floor of the parking garage, go ahead and sign. they are very careful to only show you the model unit and the amenities (a hammock and tv were broken last year and have never been replaced, the pool sticks and balls are severely damaged, the printers are always broken, the hot tub won’t heat up). make sure you ask to visit the first floor in building 2. that’s what they don’t want you to see. the parking gate is always broken and homeless people love to come in. it’s great. the gates on the corner of broadway and tyndall have been broken for over a year and maintenance is aware that strangers can enter the complex at all hours whenever they want. the security is a joke. the signs that had a security number in the parking garage were showing an out of service number, and the property manager was unaware this was the case. he did not post a new security number for six months. my bed was broken, maintenance said they fixed it, then i fell through the bed this morning they just care about lying to you long enough for you to sign the lease. they don’t care after. do not sign here under any circumstances. you will be trapped for a year.

Are there worse places to live? Sure? Is this place run well? Not at all. The price is better than a lot of places that you'll find near campus (and honestly, the location isn't bad. Walking to campus is very doable if you don't want to take the shuttle). From our move in day (when we discovered the assigned room had not been cleaned at all, had urine stained carpet that smelled horrible and that was torn up by a dog in several places, and the room was smaller than any of the other rooms even though we were charged a premium) to the constantly broken gate, to the amenities that were frequently closed, the Mark was a disappointment. Management never seemed to care. In fact, it took reaching out to corporate to get them to replace the destroyed carpet (manager initially refused to do so). When the key pads to get into the building were broken, allowing anyone to walk right in, work orders went unanswered. When there was vomit in the hallways and trash dumped everywhere, management couldn't be bothered. Yes, college apartment complexes are going to get treated roughly. Young adults can be messy and cause damage. But tenants pay a lot of money for safe and secure areas. To find homeless people camped outside your door is not a great feeling. I know some people have a great experience here and I am happy for those people. But I also think people should be aware that these people are not going to do anything other than the absolute bare minimum if something goes wrong.

Highly recommend. The move-in process was well organized and the apartments were move-in ready once we arrived. We had a horrible experience the prior year at one of the highrises on campus so I was a little concerned about moving my son into his new apartment. I wish I had known about The Mark earlier. The apartments are nice and clean, the gym and pool are awesome, they offer some other great amenities and the staff is amazing. They also do a great job sharing information on social media and they actually respond to emails and phone calls unlike several of the other apartments.

We had a wonderful experience moving our freshman son into The Mark Tucson on move-in day. The staff was very friendly, and the move was well organized. The large trash items were all left in an organized area and not around the complex. Also, the staff was very responsive to all of my emails/questions leading up to move-in day. Job well done to Roger Page and the staff at The Mark Tucson!

DO NOT LIVE HERE. The mark is probably the worst place for u of a students to live. I lived here because I thought it was cheaper since it is farther away than most of the other student housing. I was wrong. The management is awful, run by students who know nothing and don’t care. The manager is also never here. My roommate had to walk into the back of the leasing office just to find someone to help her. The security here is also non existent. I have never seen a single security guard during my entire time living here. The security cameras also don’t work since half of the building flooded broke all of the cameras. Also most of the doors to hallways and the outside don’t actually lock, and I’ve seen homeless people riding bikes though the parking garage before. The hallways, stairwells, and parking garage are so foul and never get cleaned (there’s rotting food in the stairwell that’s been here all year). We haven’t had a working kitchen sink for pretty much the whole school year and it backs up randomly and makes our living room smell like sewage. My roommates and I are also pretty sure our apartment has black mold because our sinks, toilets, and showers grow mold and there’s also darkish stains that look like mold under the paint. I also have an air filter that never says the air quality is never good despite my roommates and I doing nothing to make it bad. Don’t even get me started on how they assign apartments because my roommates and I all signed early and we are in a corner on the second floor with a view of a concrete wall while other people have floor to ceiling windows or at least a little view even though they signed at the last minute and pay the same amount :). This is not even half the problems we’ve had. Also be aware that’s you’ll have about $200 dollars a month in additional hidden fees, including stuff like paying a large fee to simple bills to use their service even though the mark requires it. Or like paying $50 if your smoke alarm goes off. I’d recommend living literally anywhere else. The apartments on university somehow have better living conditions and management than the mark (which says a lot) for basically the same price or there’s lots of houses if you’re already planning to live off campus.

Really really bad WiFi and made me feel awful. Asked office and they’re not sure when the WiFi will work. After repairing, but still off many times even a whole day. I felt I paid money to suffering.
